In 2019, I received the award for the “Best Project for the Development of Arab Sport” from the International Scientific Forum for Excellence in Kuwait. This recognition honored my proposed strategy for developing Arab sport in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030, a project that combined strategic planning, policy alignment, and practical implementation tools. Through this work, I presented actionable recommendations to strengthen sports infrastructure, increase youth participation, and align sports initiatives with broader national development goals. For me, this award validated my belief that sport is not just competition, but a driver of social and economic transformation across the region.
Academic research has always been a core pillar of my professional identity, and I have been fortunate to receive multiple awards for research excellence. In 2013, I was honored with a Research Excellence Award from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Sports Creativity in Jordan, for a study on innovative methods in sports management and their impact on performance in professional sports clubs. This work explored how modern management practices can transform club operations, improve performance indicators, and create sustainable competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving sports industry.
In 2012, I received another Research Excellence Award from the same prestigious institution, this time for my research on the applications of Total Quality Management (TQM) in sports management. That study highlighted how integrating quality standards into daily sports operations can raise performance levels, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and build stronger governance within sports organizations. Together, these awards reflect my ongoing commitment to bridging theory and practice, ensuring that academic work translates into measurable improvements on the ground.
One of the formative experiences in my career was my contribution to the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted in Egypt in 2009. I served as a key member of the local organizing committee for the matches held in Alexandria, with responsibility for critical logistical and operational aspects. My role included coordinating event logistics, aligning different functional teams, and ensuring that athletes and delegations received the support they needed for optimal performance. The recognition I received from the organizing committee acknowledged my central role in helping the event run smoothly and in contributing to the tournament’s strong global reputation.
Over the years, my work in university sports has been recognized through multiple commendations from Alexandria University in Egypt between 2012 and 2019. These acknowledgments were granted for my leadership in managing the university’s delegations to national and international youth events, and for the broader impact of the programs I led. My responsibilities extended beyond sports performance to include cultural, social, and community-oriented activities that helped students grow as well-rounded individuals. Being honored repeatedly by the university affirmed that the vision I pursued—using sport as a vehicle for student engagement, personal development, and institutional representation—was both effective and appreciated.
My journey in the scouting movement has been another area where my efforts have been formally recognised. As Technical Secretary of the Emirates Scout Association, I have been honored for my contributions to the development of the scouting movement and the expansion of membership across the Arab region. The association has commended my work in designing and implementing innovative strategies to embed core scouting values into youth leadership programs. These recognitions mean a great deal to me, because they speak not only to organizational success but also to the personal growth of the young people who pass through our programs.
What links these awards and achievements is not a single institution or discipline, but a consistent philosophy: sport and scouting are powerful tools for education, leadership, and community building. Whether I am developing a strategic framework for Arab sport, conducting research on quality and innovation, organizing a world-class tournament, leading university delegations, or advancing the scouting movement, I measure success by long-term impact rather than short-term visibility. Each recognition I have received—from Kuwait to Jordan, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates—reinforces my responsibility to keep pushing for higher standards, deeper values, and more inclusive opportunities for youth and athletes.
Today, I view my awards not as endpoints, but as milestones along a path of continuous contribution. They remind me that rigorous research can reshape policies, that well-managed events can inspire nations, and that values-based programs can transform young people into confident, ethical leaders. As I move forward, I remain committed to ensuring that every new project, partnership, or initiative is worthy of the trust that these recognitions represent.
I am a sports management professional with over twenty years of experience leading programs and institutions at university, club, governmental, and national levels in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
