My educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Alexandria University in 2004, where I built a solid grounding in sports sciences, training principles, and pedagogy. This stage formed my first deep connection with the impact of sport on health, character, and social development.
Motivated to move from practice to leadership, I pursued a Master’s degree in Physical Education with a specialization in Sports Management at Alexandria University, completed in 2009. Through this program, I began to focus on how sports organizations are structured, governed, and developed, and how strategic planning and policy can transform sports institutions.
In 2012, I completed my PhD in Physical Education, specializing in Sports Management, also at Alexandria University in Egypt. This doctoral work deepened my expertise in governance, quality management, strategic development, and the economics of sport, and marked a shift from being only a practitioner to becoming a researcher and thought leader in the field.
Over the years, I have complemented my formal degrees with targeted training, including the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) for advanced computer skills and specialized training on anti-doping regulations with the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization (Egy-NDO). These certifications strengthened my ability to work in data-driven, technology-enabled environments and to uphold integrity and ethics in sports.
My core competencies reflect a blend of academic depth and hands-on leadership within sports organizations and youth-focused environments. At the center is a strong capability in sports team management: I lead teams, design training plans, monitor performance, analyze results, and foster a team culture built on trust, discipline, and shared goals.
I also specialize in sports facility management, overseeing operations and maintenance of sports venues, ensuring safety and quality standards, and optimizing how facilities and resources are used. This includes planning schedules, coordinating stakeholders, and aligning day-to-day operations with the strategic goals of the institution.
A significant part of my experience lies in student sports events management, where I plan and implement student championships and activities, design calendars, and manage registrations, participation, and awards. This competency sits at the intersection of logistics, education, and youth engagement, and it has been a recurring theme in my work with universities and academies.
Beyond individual events, I am deeply engaged in general sports management, which covers adherence to anti-doping regulations, supervision of sports-related community activities, and alignment with national and international standards. This broad lens allows me to connect policies with on-the-ground implementation in clubs, universities, and federations.
Over more than two decades, I have developed advanced capabilities in major events management, including planning and organizing large sports tournaments, youth activities, and international conferences. From early contributions to global football tournaments to leading major university and national events, I have refined a model of event management that integrates strategic planning, risk management, communication, and post-event evaluation.
My role as Technical Secretary of the Emirates Scout Association has further sharpened my skills in strategic leadership and policy implementation. I design and oversee association strategies and programs, guide operational plans to align with global scouting standards, and supervise administrative functions such as budgeting, program development, and volunteer coordination.
Leadership for me is not limited to titles; it is about building systems that outlive individuals. I focus on developing organizations, designing sustainable programs, and shaping policies in youth and student activities that promote leadership, citizenship, and community service.
Effective communication has always been one of my defining strengths. I am experienced in building public relations, engaging stakeholders, and working within multicultural environments, supported by Arabic as my native language and advanced proficiency in English. This enables me to connect with students, athletes, administrators, partners, and international networks with clarity and respect.
As a lecturer in the field of sports sciences and management, I have developed and delivered undergraduate courses in sports management and physical education, including tailored materials for maritime transport students. I design curricula and learning resources that make complex management and governance concepts accessible and directly relevant to professional practice.
Education, for me, extends beyond the classroom into training and capacity-building programs. I regularly conduct workshops and training sessions on topics such as anti-doping procedures, event management, youth leadership, and sports administration, helping coaches, volunteers, and young leaders build the skills they need to succeed.
This educational and training dimension is closely linked to my competency in program design and curriculum development. Whether for scouting systems, university sports departments, or national initiatives, I focus on structuring programs that are outcome-oriented, measurable, and aligned with broader visions such as national development strategies.
A distinctive aspect of my core competencies is the integration of ethics, technology, and community engagement within sports management. Through my work in anti-doping and quality management, I emphasize transparency, fairness, and accountability as non-negotiable pillars of any sports system.
My advanced computer and digital skills, supported by ICDL certification and continuous practical use, enable me to employ project management tools, databases, and digital communication platforms to monitor activities, analyze data, and coordinate teams. This digital mindset allows me to adapt to the rapid transformation in sports and education, including e-learning and virtual engagement.
Finally, community impact is the thread that ties all my competencies together. Whether I am designing sports programs for youth, managing university activities, or shaping scouting strategies, my goal is to use sport and youth work as a vehicle to build healthier, more resilient, and more peaceful societies.
I am a sports management professional with over twenty years of experience leading programs and institutions at university, club, governmental, and national levels in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
